Case Of The Year ~ VOTE HERE!!!

The vote for case of the year is going to be tough....so many exceptional ones. From top to bottom, looks like a much stronger field than the cues this year, imo. Well done, guys !!

Thanks!

Justin....

Thanks for taking your time to organize and facilitate the case of the year thread. In a year with so many break out designs, it would have been a shame to not line them all up. I, however, went with a classic.

And, am I wrong, or is there no Justis in the running this year?

You are not wrong. NO ONE NOMINATED A JUSTICE. I still can't believe it. I'm not sure how busy Jack was last year, but I don't remember seeing much from him.

With Volturi, Armor, and East wood really starting to come along, and JB is obviously already so established, there was a TON of new, crazy designs and ideas! It's been a great year for our case makers this year.

Putting this together wasn't all that difficult. I just kept track of names. Worminator put the actual survey part together. I'm just happy to see so many amazing works of art in one thread!

All the best,

I have mentioned this before but it seems cases have jumped in the last couple years more than cues.

Some of these cases are out of this world.

Congrats to all the case builders out there, you have ALL stepped it up 2 or 3 notches IMO.

Wow.

Ken

I wonder if there's anyway to see how the voting is going? I'm excited to see which one of these works of art comes out on top!!!

Jamie verified this morning that you can't vote twice, and but you could change your vote from what I understand.

The 44 votes for The Timigator seems crazy to me aswell.

I don't mind switching to an open poll, if need be. (I haven't done a poll thread before, just FYI, I may need help.)

I just did a test Poll, and the only issue I see is that you can only have 25 options. I could set it up on two threads, or narrow the field to 25. Taking opinions on what to do. I want this to be a fair, and fun as possible. This is my first year organizing this, and I want to do the best job possible.

(I actually think this is pretty fun so far!)

Survey Monkey isn't the best solution. You can vote multiple times.

As Jamie just explained it to me, you could apparently change your vote before, but he has limited it to where you cannot do that now (some kind of setting thing). It should not be allowing multiple votes from the same url.

Hopefully the results aren't schemed or solicited. This is something that's meant for AZers' fun/enjoyment.

Having fun yet? After last year there is no way I would run one of these again.

As for the voting any one can vote so the more friends and family you have to give the link to the more votes you can get. It is not limited to the Azb cue and case enthusiast community.

So if I want a JB case to win I can just have a bunch of chinese friends blast out the link to all their friends and none of them are connected to Azb and I can have a thousand votes.

I think it should be like the ACA awards. Have a people's choice where anyone can vote and a case maker's choice where each case maker picks three cases.

Then you can have a good representation of what the "people" like in as much as possible with this format and what the case makers feel is the best for the year.

I voted for the Ribbon of Life by Marc Turcasso.

Here's what I'm proposing. You can only have a poll on AZB with 25 options. These cases will go into an open poll through AZB. The ones below the line will be separated, and can be added to a second poll if I see enough demand for it.

Mat Case ~ Ribbon of Life
Whitten ~ The Tux Whitten
Rusty Melton ~ CueAddicts Case
Rusty Melton ~ Cross Envelope Case
Phil Eastwood ~ All Hallows Case
Phil Eastwood ~ New York, New York case
Phil Eastwood ~ American Muscle
Armor ~ Hiyakkyi Series No.1
Armor ~ 3D Tooled Case
Armor ~ Buddha, Tiger and Dragon
King ~ Case 1 (dual pocket)
King ~ Envelope case with fur patch, and extra pouch.
King ~ Fully Tooled, JB Interior, Dual Pocket
Volturi ~ The Pearl Case
Volturi ~ The Maestro
Volturi ~ Timigator
Volturi ~ Cleiton "12" Rocha
Volturi ~ The Phantom 4
Volturi ~ The Samurai King
JB Cases ~ Rugged Cases. The entire series, as a case design.
JB Casses ~ Thread of Life
JB Cases ~ Heino
JB Cases ~ Breakin 8
JB Cases ~ Spirit
JB Cases ~ Straight Shootin Jesse

Below this line are cases that I'm going to leave off the poll. I tried to remove one case from each nominee, as long as it didn't have a vote on the other poll yet. If this is satisfactory to all participants, and voters, I will make another thread on AZB as an open poll.
-------------------------Below will be left out for now.------------------------

Volturi ~ The "JH" Case
Volture ~ Flur De Lis case
JB Cases ~ Faux Elephant Bazooka
JB Cases ~ SouthWest Love
King ~ Case 2 (big single pocket)
Armor ~ Kenny Koo Cues (The Flyingsnail)

That's more of what I'm getting at. It's something for fun and has no awards. It does have some merit, but saying a case is the 2013 AzB case of the year, won't sway peoples opinions lol.

If the survey has been fixed, then please continue. The question is, how many people voted twice, before it was fixed?

For the time being, I'm still having fun. I might do a little pet project with the top 12 cases, if I can get everyone to work with me.

Well crap... I spent $200 of my own money to use Survey Monkey because it has a lot of cool features and the number of entries is unlimited.

#1 - No one could ever post more than one vote. They could change their vote, but it was still one vote. I have modified the survey now to once you vote, you cannot go back and change the vote. Again... no one was able to vote more than one time!

#2 - Someone had a lot of people vote for the Volturi ~ Timigator in a short period of time. On 1/14/14, between 2:37- 2:54PM Eastern Time there were 37 consecutive votes for this case. IP addresses were all different, but this certainly looks very conspicuous to me.

If I was running the AZ Case of the Year I would certainly disqualify this case.

Justin you can disqualify my case. Ive no idea who casted all the votes. This competition means nothing to me and in fact its a just for fun poll. Didnt know my case would make so much problems in a voting competition. Have a nice day!
