Case to be delivered this weekend.

Thought that I would share pics of a case I'm delivering this weekend. Anybody that saw Big Nasty's case that we delivered in Des Moines will see some very similar features...except that this one is just a regular 2x4.

Since you sold out to the chinese as well, if you do not have a positive comment about the work, it would be nice for you to leave not only JB as well this case maker alone or leave positive input on their work. I can see now why your messing with me which is fine. You didn't like the answer I gave regarding the trade.:wink: I see you now have several cases including a JB which I assume you got in a trade. I'm just having a little fun and if you can't deal with it too bad. John Barton is always bragging about his cue protection issue being better than anyone elses which is the same thing as saying everyone else stinks. I see thought that when I came out with the ProLite interior to make a lighter case, he also followed suit (copied) and is now doing the same thing only his is better....LOL

Again with all due respect, you were not the first person to do a case that is essentially a tube with a cloth liner. I own several Fellinis and a few Centennials and all of them are plastic tubes with cloth liners and very light.

Also I distinctly remember that there were many Chinese cases that came out before you started with your Pro-Lite that used a single tube and a cloth liner. In fact your liner is very similar to some of them.

Do you make your own liners Mr. Justis or do you purchase them pre-made as Benefica has suggested?

Judging just by the pictures at Mr. Barton's website of his liners compared to yours I would have to agree with you that his are better, much better.

Even if Mr. Barton did do a single tube with fabric liner after you did can you explain to us why yours is better?

Do you think that no one after you should have the right to do such an interior?

Please convince us all why your solution for cue storage and transportation is better than Mr. Barton's.

After all this is in fact the thing that Mr. Barton harps endlessly about. So prove him wrong here and now Mr. Justis and don't resort to cheap shots.


To Duke of Aim: Your case looks very good. It does look similar to a Justis, especially with the rectangular patch on the back with the name. However I personally do not think that Mr. Justis has any particular claim since he clearly made cases in the Jay Flowers' style when he started. That you emulate the cases from Mr. Justis is a compliment and is along the same lines as he claims he told Jay Flowers, namely that there is plenty of business for both of you.

Your cases are not a Justis copy though unless Mr. Justis would like to attempt to claim that he invented the construction elements that make up his cases and also would like to claim that he invented every possible combination of standard stamp designs. After all the scroll wheel designs he uses are standard from Tandy Leather and are available to any person who goes to Tandy's website. It is not as if he had those designs made especially for him.

Please keep up the good work on your cases. More case makers and more choice is good for all of us.

Honestly Mr. Justis, I can't think of a higher compliment that you could give me. However, I freely admit that I have a very long way to go before I make a case that deserves to be compared to one of yours (or any of the other well established case makers).

As for this case looking like a Justis Case, this is what was ordered. The name patch on the back was a request from the customer rather than tooling it on the back strap. The barbwire was something that I had done on another case and the customer liked very much. I am trying to find my own style, and will with time. But at this time, what the customer wants is what the customer gets as long as I feel like it is something that I may be capable of doing. I am sure that everyone can understand that.

I appreciate both the thoughts of Mr. Justis as well as others that feel he is attacking myself and/or others. I understand that these things can be heated on both sides and wish that there was some simple resolution that all could be happy with. Both sides have valid points and I can understand that seeing a case very similar to the style of case that Justis cases are so well known for could be taken as a slap in the face. You have accused Mr. Barton of copying you and posted pictures of what you feel is the copying.
