I will try and keep this thread updated daily as I can with cases in progress. If you see your case then you know we are working on it. We are trying to send each customer daily progress pix but right now we are short handed. So hopefully this thread will be able to reassure some of you that we are indeed working on your cases. Feel free to ask anything you want about cases you see here and I will answer in the thread.

Can't wait to see a 2x3 Just Enough with that brown oil tan & croc print

Thanks John

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions John. It was very big of you considering that I am not a customer of yours and probably never buy a pool related item from anyone. You are a true sport and credit to any American business (in China no less).

Great thread John and some real nice cases in the mix. Only problem I see or rather don't see is my new case in the mix..eh hrmm....

You're welcome. We are not done though, I still need to answer your last ones.

Will put some new ones up tomorrow.

I'd like to mention that my colleague Jack Justis has put up a new signature on his posts which is obviously a well-deserved slam on us and our well known slowness:

"MADE IN THE USA, ONE AT A TIME, AND DELIVERED ON TIME EVERY TIME."

To which I say true, except for the Chinese made interiors. Jack's got his system down pat and I admire that. I highly recommend to anyone who wants the type of case that Jack builds and can confine themselves to the options that Jack offers, that they should definitely order a case from Jack.

We will likely never get to the point where we are able to take orders and deliver in four weeks as Jack offers. Two of the cases I show above have already had to be rebuilt before leaving the shop because of missing details and errors in construction.

We are simply not Jack Justis. Our stuff is so far away from the way he does things that the only real comparison is that they are both cue cases. I mean if we both did a step-by-step photo illustration of how our cases are built we would have more than twice as many maybe up to 3 or 4 times as many steps. Top that off with the fact that we offer almost unlimited choices even for basic $450 cases and you can see that we have a ton of things that can go wrong.

So if you're in a hurry and you want a nice case that does the job and you can live with one type of pockets, one type of zippers, handle on one side only, only two sizes to choose from, only one type of interior, only a few styles of personalization, and the same basic look as all the rest of Jack's customers have then that is your choice. www.justiscases.net

Karen and I have talked about doing a line with limited choices and we might still do that. Jack's system is well suited to getting cases done quickly and we can see the wisdom in that. We have chosen so far to accept any type of custom order and that's hard on both sides. For now though we will stick it out and try our best to figure out a good system that may see us improving to the point that we can someday reach Jack's consistent level of on-time delivery while still keeping the full custom offering we are known for. We can only get better :-)

Thanks again to all of our customers for the patience you have shown. We know it's trying but we hope that the cases continue to be worth the wait.

John and Karen

John

I like cases by you, I also like cases by Jack.

The only thing I would add is if I were you....I would personally hire someone to take orders for you. Someone who speaks and types English and who has the time to reply and get the order in.

You do get wrapped up in a lot of peripheral stuff and that takes time away from your day job. If you can't respond to an email or take an order or take half an order......get someone in the company to do it for you. I realise you like to be hands on but it's no good firing off loads of emails at the start only to lose interest or forget 6 months down the line. Of all the people that should be able to communicate with you to get a case, I think I would be up there. Our original case would have stopped the world in it's tracks, it didn't happen. My current case was ordered through DJay. I persevered because you make a great product.

So bottom line, I think you should stop taking orders personally and get someone in to do it for you. Maybe that way, the process could speed up a little.

We have known each other quite a while now, I hope you take what I say with the honesty I mean it....from one friend to another.

Si
