I was curious as to how the recent PBA transfers would be seeded into the world cups.

CAUDRON HITS TWO SOUTH KOREANS IN PPPQ WORLD CUP VIETNAM

by Bert Voorthuijsen

Frederic Caudron has to compete against two Korean players in the first round of the World Cup Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City (PPPQ).

The Belgian plays in pool A and meets Myung-kyu Oh, who has achieved good results in the juniors and against Dong-han Lee.

Birol Uymaz, who has to start with zero ranking points like Caudron, plays in pool B and begins his return to the UMB with a match against the Dutch Mark van Peer.

Although Caudron should certainly be able to reach the main tournament given his status, the only question is whether he is still suffering from his recent hip surgery.

For the world cup in Vietnam 13 Dutch participants have registered and three are on the reserve list. From Belgium there are six players on the participant list.

In addition to the well-known names, Adrie Demming and Mark van Peer will also be in action on the first day of this tournament.

The World Cup in Vietnam is the second of this season and will be played from 20 to 26 May.
