A few friends and i ventured over to chelmsford saturday in our quest to sample new englands finest pool halls. As its the host for many AZB get togethers and offers a large number of GCs to play on we had high expectations on our hour and a half journey there. My friends were smitten on their recent expedition to Snookers in RI and were hoping for another awesome pool trip. Sadly we were disappointed by nappy cloth and dead rails and the fact that on a late saturday afternoon we were joined by only a handful of other patrons. After about two hours we left chelmsford and retreated to our usual saturday night haunt pool table magic in Windsor Locks CT. After a long day of driving we found our pool experience much more enjoyable at ptm. Is CC USA the best that area has to offer? Why is it the host of AZB get togethers?

Isn't Country Club on the verge of closing? That's what I'd heard.

I don't think they are closing anytime soon. They just sold off some tables to World Class in Peabody, MA for some extra money. The owner of CC also owns the building. So he's not paying rent and still making a profit from the other tenants.

I've been to CC a few times and always found it enjoyable. The people are nice and has decent bar food. As for now, I'm closer to world class and love the atmosphere there. The owner really cares about his customers and many good players there to learn from.

From what I heard they are closing around the end of the month. Our league that played on weds. nights at country club has moved to boston billiards in Nashua.I have been told that a gym has rented the space and needed the whole upstairs. As far as you people playing at pool table magic that is a great place.I wish I was closer.

I liked Country Club but haven't been there for a while. I'm closer to World Class now, too, and go there when I have the chance (which is still rarely, unfortunately).

Thanks for the update, Joe. Some of us at Max's were wondering where the league players from Country Club would be going. One of these days I need to pop by Boston Billiards again and see folks I haven't seen for a while.

Hey Joe the League was upset when they found out we may be renting out the space to a health club & they jumped the gun and moved to Boston Billiard Club In Nashua, There has been no deal signed and we are still alive and well Except for the fact that Everyone thinks we are Closed.
:wink:PLEASE PASS THE WORD WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY AS ALWAYS:)
