centennial case with strap?

Has any one ever seen a Centennial case with a shoulder strap? I have had very little luck finding any information about them. About a year ago I purchased what I believe to be a Centennial case. Other than the shoulder strap the case is pretty standard. It is a 1x2 case with an Ostrich pattern embosed in the leather and each end is finished with wood just like all of the other Centennial cases that I have ever seen.

Any information or leads would be helpfull. By the way I am having problems loading some pictures (file size is too large) but if it helps I'll e-mail them to you.

Thanks,
Jimmy

There was just one ...

one of these listed in the WTB/FS section within last 3 weeks. Do a search
for Centennial. Don't think it had the strap though.

Hey Jimmy,

I've owned two Centennials with shoulder straps. One had a pouch, too. The other one just had a strap. You see a few variations from the standard "Fellini with Endcaps" style. I attached a couple of pictures of versions of these types of cases. Unfortunately, I didn't keep any pictures of the ones I described, but I think there's one with a pouch and no strap, and a couple of others (Viking, George) with just straps. If yours had the plasticized wood ends, it's definitely a Centennial

Regards,

Steve.

Thanks Steve! I thought it was a Centenial. When I bought the case I was actually looking for a Fellini. I searched on Ebay for a couple of weeks and had come up short. At that point I decieded to refine my search and tried "vintage" and that is when I found the Centennial. Fourtunately for me the pictures of the case were horrible and there was no mention of a case maker. As a result of this I paid $100 after shipping cost.

It sure feels good when you know that you got a bargan!

Here are some picture of the case. I finally compressed them to fit.

Definitely a Centennial, and you sure got a bargain! I would more than gladly double your money even without the Centennial tag. Please let me know if you decide to sell it. If you keep it, rest assured that you've got a great case for a steal!

Regards,

Steve

I love the case but have considered selling it to buy a larger Whitten; something to fit a break cue. If I put it up for sale I will make sure that you are the first to know.

Case

They were made in Houston and have been out of business for a long time. Very well made and an excellent case.
