CF Jacoby and powder

I read on Reddit and elsewhere that it is not allowed to use powder on Cuetec or Predator as these companies declare it will ruin their shafts, on Reddit people saying that powder and CF as compounds, being abrasive will release toxic dust into the air which is bad to inhale.

Then I emailed Jacoby asking them if I want to use powder, and they say its fine to use powder, my question is are Predator and Cuetec warning legit or is Jacoby email wasn't studied properly, cause I know all three shafts are made with the same material so it can't be that we can powder a Jacoby but not a Revo or Cynergy.

Anyway, I am not asking to use a glove or wash my hands here cause I know some people will advise me to wash my hands after every set.
 
Why would you need powder or a glove with any carbon fiber shaft? I'm a really heavyset guy and sweat a lot while playing. I've never needed powder or a glove with any of the carbon shafts and I've tested most of them now. Actually I've never needed a glove or powder when I was using maple.

As to your exact point, I try to take all of the directions from all the CF companies and use 1 standard for cleaning and such for all. Most companies haven't left care instructions. So I wouldn't use any powder or chemicals on any of them except for the alcohol wipes.

The general problem is that you want a certain surface roughness on a CF shaft. If it is polished and gets a very smooth finish, it will bind in the bridge hand.

Both chalk dust and hand powder are to be avoided as much as possible for this reason. They will polish the shaft and make it too smooth.
