Chalk?

ipt chalk for me.difficult to get hold of now.ive tried blue diamond and its pretty similar but the ipt chalk seems to cover the tip easier.
both are very good though.....................

Masters is my favorite. I've tried Blue Diamond and honestly I don't think it's really that much better to justify the price. Silver Cup sucks.

I had a friend tell me that the IPT stuff was real good!!!

Never have had a chance to try any though.

How exactly does chalk wear out a ferrule?

It doesn't. The post was a joke based on an old thread: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=192788

-------

Blue Diamond is by far my favorite readily available chalk. Yeah, it's about $3 a cube, but really that's not a lot of money for the amount of chalk I go through in a year, and I play most every day. All of this is IMO of course, but I think it covers better, stays on better, and is not nearly as messy as Masters so my table, hands, and shaft stay cleaner.

Hmmm

Hard to believe there is that big a difference in chalk.....some rooms have Master and another has Silver cup, don't matter much to me as no concernable difference IMHO. Heck, I was in Florida and the Hotel didn't have any chalks so I found a conference room and borrowed a piece of chalkboard chalk, and it worked the rest of the week just fine.

Of couse, the sportcraft stuff and some other no name cheap stuff the "friends" have on their cheap home tables is a whole nuther story!!!

Just got Blue Diamond Yesturday

Instead of making another thread I"ll post it here , I got some Blue Diamond Chalk from Seyberts and got it yesturday , here's a couple things I noticed about it .

1. Alot Less Chalk on my hands .
2. Sticks Alot better to the tip .
3. I noticed If I do use spin I get alot more action on the ball .

Over all I'm pleased with this Chalk and Don't plan on switching back to Masters Chalk anytime soon .

I bought some Blue Diamond last year, and was pleased with it. I didn't really notice a difference at the time. I ended up losing it, holder and all, before using even half of it. I also had just my beginner cue, with a tip that wasn't terribly good.

Now that I have a new cue with a nice tip, I think I'll revisit Blue Diamond or Magic and see if I see a difference now.
