Yeah i watched the interview but if you think about it the only reason they have a break box rule is to keep you from breaking outside the box makes no sense to have rule that you have to break outside the box lol

I am sure it is just a lost in translation language type thing lol

I think the break outside the box keeps shane from breaking in the middle as an attempt to slow him down...

its odd though 9 ball must break inside the box
but10 ball must break outside the box.
and I guess they are talking about the same box?
 
At the end of the second line of the description on the interview page it says 20:00 MSK which is 8pm in Moscow? That would translate to 9am est.

I stand corrected. I just fixed the time in the OP. Its actually on at noon.
Moscow is 8 hours later than EST . Right?
 
Taking a break to watch pool! Inside on the box!

Breaking from inside and outside of the break-box has been used in different tournaments and national leagues in Europe for some time, the largest being the European Championships. When breaking in 10-ball, the cueball has to be placed outside of the area defined as the box. When breaking in 9-ball the cue-ball must be placed inside the area defined as the box.

When breaking inside the box in 10 ball, good players can play the 2nd row ball in the side pocket 75% of the time. Breaking outside the box prevents this.
