Realizing the advantage of the break in any game, I'm leaning towards flipping for the break instead of winner, looser or laging.......Maybe this should change depending on which game you are playing, but I think more people might challenge if they new they had a chance to win the flip and get to break!...in any game.........What do AZers think about this....Also knowing the tables are on time and we are having challenge matches, how or who pays table time when time runs out in the middle of a say a one pocket game........Don't say for me to open all the tables..can't happen and keep the DCC going..haha.......Should the challenger put up a certain amount (what's that amount knowing the table is $10 per hour) and if time runs out both players split the time or what??...Greg/Diamond

Greg a flip is as good as any?

You have come a long way since the first Rack'em up classic in Columbia SC.

I am not sure what you are talking about on the table time deal. I can only guess it has to do with the volume of players trying to match up on tables that have a waiting list?

How about lagging for the break? How do you intend to set the challenge table rules? Are you going to have a table tender? Here is a thought, have challenge table players badges. To be on a challenge table you have to have a badge. Say $10 dollars for the night. The winner will get a lot more than $10 worth of playing time, but the losers will more than make up for it.

I like the idea and would like to make a suggestion. Have the player name in-printed on the badge and enforce a ID checking system so people can't borrow other's badge to play.

Maybe bump it up to $20 per night and have a sign up/waiting list for each table. This way we don't need a cashier to do table time calculation.
