I'm changing my upcoming $2,000 added Danny's Rotation tournament.
We'll be playing a race to 75 on the loser's side instead of 100. I'm afraid I may not have time to finish within a reasonable hour on Sunday if I keep the loser's race to 100.

Here it is again.

$2,000 Added

$50 Entry Fee

Danny's Rotation, Race to 100 Points, Race to 75 points on the loser's side.

August 23rd and 24th

12 Noon Start
NO GREEN FEES OR OTHER FEES. ALL MONIES COLLECTED WILL GO BACK INTO THE TOURNAMENT FUND. [/FONTFONT]

This forum can be very rewarding for advertising your event if you use a few basic guidelines:

1) Town,state & date in the TITLE
2) Name of pool hall, hotel or event center with address & phone
3) Copy of Flyer or Link to flyer

The more people have to read through and get no idea where or when, the more they quit looking.

Good luck with the tournament!

Ray, you're right, I forgot about the address and phone number! I'll edit it.
Thanks, Danny

You're welcome Danny! Wish I could make it out there, sounds like an interesting format!

Ray

ps. I'm having Dejavu but how do you make points?

Ray, you make points by pocketing balls, like in straight pool, one point per ball.

What I'm trying to do is create a game that emcompasses most of the games out there, like straight pool, nine ball and eight ball.

Rotation I see as the most difficult game that requires the highest degree of shot-making. But the problem with rotation is that each ball counts its own numerical value, like the 15 ball counts 15 points.

This way you score, like in straight pool one point per ball, and then you play to a preset number of points, like 75 or 100, as in my tournament.
Thanks for asking.

regarding Danny's upcoming tourney

I have been a member for a while. i just don't get the chance to post often.
to whoever is reading this:
i have been playing this game for about a year now and i recommend that if you are in the area and you like to play pool, this is "THE GAME" you want to play.
It is offensive.
The point system is long enough for the luck factor to be taken out of the game. (unlike 9 ball or 10 ball)
It requires you to actually think vs. being a Ball Banger.
It takes a lot of the good and skilled factors of the Games of 8, 9, 10 ball, rotation and even one pocket (believe me you will be playing a lot of banks and billiard shots).
*****please not that i am not saying this because i know Danny and he is my friend, i am saying this because it has improved my game. it requires more Cue Ball control. Just imagine when you play this game with all the traffic on the table for a while, 9 ball and 10 ball become way easier and "YOU" will improve your game too.
i am going to try to make it there and hope to see you there too.
