This is my first time so it is a virgin question. I finally purchased a custom cue with a radial pin. I have been using OB shafts but they have 5/16 x 14 pin hole in them. Can they be changed to radial or should I sell and buy a new one.
Changing the joint in the shaft is not a hard fix. If the ob shaft has a warranty on it ? Have them do it, if not find a competent cue repairman and they can change the thread configuration in your shaft.

The cue shaft you have, guessing that it's the stock configuration for 5/16-14, is .840" in diameter, and the Radial shaft configuration is .842" in joint diameter. They are so close that you don't need to worry about the diameter differences.
What does have to be done is remove the insert, and glue in a threaded maple plug. This will give a solid to work with so we can bore and thread for the Radial pin threads.
OB Cues can do this easily. Give us a call on Monday and you can work out the details with us. Anyone who answers can get you to the right person to get you taken care of.
