changing sights on gold crown 2

Hello everyone new to azBilliards love this forum.
I'm a mechanic by trade(heavy equipment)so i can relate to what its like to give it your all all day to pay the bills just to have my friends and there friends think that i should work on everything they own for free all the time.Not to mention the phone calls to talk them through what ever ill have to fix later don't get me wrong i like to help out but some cant get any cheaper or enough of my time now that's done.
I have a gc 2 and the sights are starting to yellow it looks to me like its coming from the bottom up so i cant polish it out i have new ones from Mueller's i was going to drill a small hole then with a sheet metal screw pull them up. are the original ones glued down i don't want to cause damage pulling them up or should i drill the whole sight out thanks for any help

thats how i got the sights out of my american shuffleboard table. they were round sights tho, not sure how the diamond shaped ones will pull.

In a GC2 they are very thin, and will most likely shatter when you are drilling them. u can just take an awl and tap them and they will break apart, then just clean the hole out.

I use...

I use a 1/4 inch chisel and a small 13 oz hammer. Its fine to bust them. I have had good luck that way. If you are in a room and want to avoid cleanup, put tape over them.
