Charlie Byrant's X Breaker Name Contest...Free X Breaker Giveaway!

Charlie's "Purpleheart" X-cellence

i think it says it all:

1/ the ( btw LOVELY!!) purpleheart wood used, who really says enough about how GOOD it looks. the name purpleheart in itself is a really nice name (more then bloodwood..associations with blood = negative.. etc) and i can easily asociate it with positive things. its almost a little nickname like u give your girlfriend. well now this cue will have one too :D as ull be spending more time with it then with your wife/gf :D

2/ The red X, every image brand needs a eye-cathing thing. often it will be colored red, but differential psychological reasons. u can read enough about colors en there associations in books etc. The X (the headspot? the aiming sight? the bridgearm? so many things can be associated with it. perfect letter for a pool-related item. the red X will be THE focuspoint of all the x breakers. (i think the red X on the but-added-thingy realy cought my eye.. hence why im reusing it in the name. color and letter are perfect.

3/ after looks, eye catching logo, whats left? how does the cue play? how does charlie break and jump?....
couldnt find another word that descripes it better. Excellent...

4/ u could add his name or first name. or remove the purpleheart: Charlie's X-cellence.

well thats my try. who knows, i might own my dreamcue sooner then i think. :D then i can remove at least 1 item from my signature.

greats and respect, silly solly and gratz for making the xbreaker buyable in europe too.

thx for the added info richard , helps to know what you 'client' is looking for.

ok here another try.

CB's Controled X-cellence
or the short version CBC-X

"Crushcontroled" X-cellence

this one has both parts u like:

-the first reminds me of cruisecontrole. it sounds like a scientific name wich can easily be assciated with technology and gives the name this 'modern' characteristic. The crush and controle are THE 2 most important factors of the xbreaker.

-the second word has a more clasic/traditional name, cfr post before.

"CCC" X-cellence

-ccc stands for clasical, crushing and controle, and its short just like u like it :D

- the name is so easy , even nonspeaking people can REMEMBER the name. the CCC sounds like a special scientific technique. giving it a powerfull modern edge, and the x-cellence is just like the X-class, the link to the traditional and elegance part of the cue.

hope im getting one point closer to the cue. i'd die for one :D really!!!

While I like 'Billy Club' well enough, the word 'club' brings to mind a weapon of crude design, or lacking in refinement.....not exactly appropriate for what I think Richard is looking for.

CBX is short and catchy, and a nice use of incorporating Charlie Bryant's initials, however, it has been a bit overdone in the general marketplace. And yes, it too brought the Honda motorcycle line to mind.

Sorry, JMHO, for what it's worth.

Ballistic

Ballistic
The ballistic
Ballistic X-breaker
Or my favorite: BallXstic

I am just more into something short, precise, and catchy.
-you got it

"We would like a name which does not only depict power, but with emphasis on the control aspect."
-Ballistics (gr. ba'llein, "throw") is the science that deals with the motion, behavior, and effects of projectiles, especially bullets, gravity bombs, rockets, or the like; the science or art of designing and hurling projectiles so as to achieve a desired performance. from wikipedia

"If it is not too much to ask, I am really hoping someone could come up with a name which expresses the imagery of the classic elegance of a traditional design, coupled with the power and control brought forth by the latest technology."
- don't know about classic but ballistic is a word that brings to mind power control and technology.

You could run an animated ad that Flashed the word BALL then next to it the word STICK and the X of the X-breaker logo could cross out the K in stick and then move between the two words BallXstic

Another advertisment could be the word BALL then the word STICK and the k is actually the new Xbreaker. It could dissasemble with the stem being the shaft and the 2 parts of the butt being the jump section and rest of the but they could spin around and grow to underline the words ball and stic and assemble then the big bright X in your logo could go between them to spell BallXstic.

B is a great choice of letters for Charlie Bryant.... Charlie "the ballistic" Bryant. or the ballistic breaker whichever you choose.

How about another catchy ad. "What break cue should I go with?"... "Go BallXstic" Or "Now that I decided on the Xbreaker, which one do I choose?".... "Go ballXstic"

I like any variation of the word ballistic whether it has the X or not, plus it goes well with Charlie's name. I could go on more but I gotta get back to work soon.

I'll give it another go....bear with me.:)

If you like to keep it short, perhaps...

CBXB/J "ACE" Elite

Charlie Bryant's X-Breaker "ACE" Elite

the word ACE means: a champion, star, king, and/or winner...all describing Charlie very well. I threw "Elite" into the mix to help imply the best of the best in construction, technology, and design.

The word "ACE" itself can be broken down to "Accuracy, Control, Elegance"

I even like: X-CB "ACE" Elite or even just X-CB "ACE":D

Am I getting closer, Richard?! ;)

Hey Richard-
Long time no talk.

I'd go with CB X-treme or something relatively simple like that.
By using other names that are funny, creative, and clever, you may throw some of your target customer base. I happen to love Lisa's "Hick Stick" idea, especially when fused with the 'X' (HiX Stick) because this combines the 'Hillbilly' moniker and 'X'-breaker logo.

But by going with something humorous and clever, you may lose a serious player/buyer. Then again, I may be wrong.

That being said, I'd an excellent word-of-mouth marketer so why don't you send me one of the maple forearm/purpleheart handle cues for free and I'll continue to sing its praises all over town and strike up a lot of business for you!!!:D :D :D

Sorry. I had to try.
