Thank you everyone for the overwhelming response.
I just got off the phone with Charlie, and he told me he liked to see a name which mentions his name or his nick name. So far, his favorite is the hillybilly, the Billy Stick and Billy Club.
Please bear in mind that this contest has just begun, and there are so many nice entries since yesterday. Charlie has not gone through all the names yet. I and Charlie will both make the final decision.
Charlie also wants to thank everyone for helping out with a good name. He is very excited to see over 2000 clicks in only two days.
I like a lot of the names, and I have taken note of all of them. I will discuss with Charlie when the contest is over. Personally, I think Charlie's ACE is very neat. I also like Big Bang, X Class, CBX, Ballistic, and X Factor.
We have decided to give a bit more background of this line of X Breaker here to help the contestants to come up with the perfect name.
This line of cues will be a limited edition line, with only about 100 built in a year. They will be marketed in the US but also overseas. We have a lot of demand from Japan, and a lot of interest from Europe. I personally would like to sell most of this line to US customers, but it will be built on a first order first built basis. So, I would suggest US customers to place their order early.
Other than contacting me directly to place an order, interested party can also place their orders directly with Charlie.
Charlie can be reached at all the major tournaments and the IPT. This way, customers can also have the opportunity to have a picture taken with Charlie with the cue, and have an autograph.
If time permits, Charlie will be more than willing to give some breaking and jumping pointers to the buyer as well. Charlie wants his customers to enjoy the experience of being able to buy his X Breaker directly from him; he wants his customers to be completely satisfied.
This line of Charlie's X Breaker will be identical to the X Breaker custom built for Charlie Byrant. The purpleheart forearm was designed to offer a very stiff hit, the coring greatly reduces sideway vibration, while enhancing the transmition of axial feedback down the center of the cue. Coring also allows us to prevent warpage, and to have a more consistent balance.
When Charlie first tried his X Breaker, his first respond was, "wow, the cue ball does not hop!!!" (those are his own words.

)
Charlie's own X Breaker is very heavy, it is over 20oz. Since purpleheart and bloodwood are both heavier/stiffer wood as compared to maple, even after the coring, the cue would feel a bit more backward balanced. It is because Charlie likes a heavier cue with more weight in his grip hand.
If you think you have a great stroke and you want to experience the hill billy break, this is the cue to get.
Basically, I believe that is all that we would like to cover for now. I hope you will find the above information helpful.
I am very grateful for a lot of wonderful marketing ideas. There are a lot of great ideas! I cannot believe how creative, intelligent, and original the members here are!
Please keep the wonderful ideas coming, they are greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Richard
