There are plenty of weekly tournaments around too as well as TSMS coming up this month.

I was there for a week a while ago and found an event within 45min pretty much every day of the week.

You will need a car.

Smokin Cue has big tournaments and money players. Wedn night 9 ball tourney with break & run(10 ball) 2/3 drawings $1000 a ball. Can find money matches at any level. Seen 5 a game to 100 a game.
