Definitions:
Private Messages: What you get from AZ within the AZ Forum.
Private Emails: This is your personal private email account that you provided when you registered as a regular member of the AZ FORUM. It is not currently used or given to any other parties. In fact it is seldom ever used.
While I don’t even know if Mike has the ability or the desire to send out email broadcasts to our private email accounts, I was wondering how the rest of the AZers would feel about receiving ONE email direct to our private email addresses to remind us of the Chat Time with Thorsten Hohmann. For me, I am doing a lot of different things and might even not notice that the CHAT is going on and I could be visiting and posting in the AZ Forum. I’m not really dizzy, but IMHO it would be nice to receive two emails, one in the morning and another one hour before the CHAT. I wouldn’t want Mike to give out my personal email address and I know he doesn’t do that but I also would not want to receive advertisements whether they are pool products and services or not.
So anyway, I would like to set up a poll and see what the rest of the AZers think. Personally, I wouldn’t mind getting text messaged for a CHAT appointment, kind of like an alarm clock notice. I feel certain if this notification were available, AZ would do everything to keep the telephone number confidential.
I’ve never had a problem with AZ sending me SPAM EVER and I have never received SPAM at my personal email address unless I solicited it from another source and so I don’t see any problem with getting an email every now and then. Furthermore, I would love to get a text message letting me know about the CHAT APPOINTMENT. For different reasons, I always seem to miss CHAT APPONTMENTS even if I want to lurk or participate.
Look, take this poll with a grain of salt. It wasn’t authorized by Mike and I don’t even know if it is practical or not but I’m still interested in the opinions of other AZers.
Would you like to receive email notices at your regular email address as long as that is the only thing it would be used for? As another choice would you like to receive a TEXT MESSAGE on your cell phone reminding you of the CHAT APPOINTMENT?
