Just got word from someone who is watching the Crosby v Chavez challenge match. First, the match is for $2000 and its a race to 21. Right now the score is 7-7. I will try to get another update later.

$2000? Where is Bucktooth when you need him. That's not a very big chunk o' change for guys of that calibre playing to 21. Maybe they will play another.
 
who does everyone like in this match?

I would have bet on Chavez myself.
 
i would have to bet on chavez in this match, i played him a few weeks ago and he is just rock solid! he has been beating everybody he plays lately.
 
16-12 Chavez now. I am stepping away from the computer for a few hrs. Gonna go grill out and take a walk around the neighborhood with my sons. If no one updates this score, I will do so later. At this point, its looking like Chavez is going to take the cheese...

I haven't seen Chavez play so I really can't make a call on the outcome but I have seen Tony Crosby come from WAY BEHIND and beat John Schmidt in a race playing nine ball. It was a tournament win but win nevertheless. I think Tony, right now, is making his bones in the pool world. He will continue to improve, surprise many and I can only hope he surprises some of you today.

My first impression reading this post was that Chavez would take an early lead; maybe 6 ahead or so.

But I like Crosy coming back and taking the win with a two game lead.
 
i have a ton of respect for both of their games, and they are both equally nice guys as well. But i really think right now chavez is going to get the best of that matchup pretty regularly. he is playing the best pool of his life and his confidence is through the roof right now. props to tony for stepping up and playing him tuff though.

LMAO...the other day I was reading Maxim and my son walked up and said "ohhh pretty girl". Joking back with him I winked and said "hubba hubba." 5 min later my 4 year old is now holding onto her Cosmosomething mag and saying "Mom...hubba hubba :D "

My wife was not impressed. :o
