I'm looking for a cheap break cue without a phenolic tip and that isn't a jumper. Any suggestions?
Has anyone tried the 5280 Pool Cues MHSP Mile High Series Sneaky Pete???

Thanks

Buy a cheap sneaky pete off ebay and some White Diamond tips. Put one of those tips on and you'll be good to go.

i picked up an excalibur at sports authority for $30, has a tiger saber-t ferulle and white diamond tip installed, roughly running about $60, and it breaks lights out.

now though, excalibur has been bought out by cuetech and they screwed em up. but you can get a players sneaky or low end for about $40-$60.

i use a cuetec excalibur that i got off ebay for $30. it's got my breaks pretty consistent, and with the fiber glass finish, it won't warp. tips can be changed to your liking though...

I bought a J & J J/B from ChrisOnline here at AZ that had a conventional ferrule. I cut off the phenolic tip and glued on a White Diamond. Works great for the $$. Another lo-buck break cue is an old two piece Canadian Dufferin. They usually go on eBay for $20-$30 and hit darn well for the money. IMO a more solid hit than any Taiwan cue I've tried. I have two shafts: one with a WD for head-ball breaks, one with a Sumo leather for 8-ball side breaks. Most of them weigh in a bit heavy if that works for you.
