WELL WE HAD THE TOURNEY AND ONLY GOT 8 PLAYERS AND $25 WAS ADDED MAKING THE 12/30 TOURNEY A $75 ADDED PRORATED PER PLAY UP TO 16

In memory of Earlene, a regular at Cheers in Valley Park Missouri I will be hosting a 8 ball tournament on Thursday 12/23 and Thursday 12/30.
Entry fee will be $10.
Race will be to 2
Double elimination
Split quarters on a $1 table.
Bar rules, call your shot on anything fancy.

16 player field times $10 = $160 up to $50 added by me $210 in the pot.
$50 added is based on a full field $3 per player full field 50 added, 8 players $25
First $100
2nd $60
3rd $30
4th place......u get a shot of your choice. the remainder of the funds goes back to me for running the event and playing in it at the same time.

If we get more than 16 players we will just ADD more money to 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th. Let us see what happens?

We will cut it off at 16, if you want to reserve a spot for either event send me a PM and then you can paypal me the funds.

12/23 money added event scratched due to no sign up's.

The
12/30 money added event will occur even if me and my wife just play. :wink::wink:

We would come in 1st and 2nd and take all the loot home, not really we would probably drink it ALL up at Cheers........ Merry Christmas.

The tournament will be played tonight

Regardless of entrants the vending company will kick in $3 per player and I am getting released from the GM work release program at 7 so the tournament will start at 8 p.m. SHARP which is 8:15 bar time.

We had 8 players bar table rules.

DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND///The 12/30 event will be ball in hand rules, no 3 foul. If we get 16 players it will be a race to 1, 8-12 it will be a race to 2 double elimination with $75 ADDED prorated at roughly $5 per player. We only got $5 entry fee last night but would like to get $10 making this tourney. If we do $5 on Thursday we will have a $5 per player side pot for those interested going to the highest finishing player in the side pot.

Last week they WHINED about the format, so we made it ball it had so that argument was resolved. This week some entrant named ROB had a problem with paying 3 places? WTF it is the Holidays so I told him that we would play without him? his resolution was to play.

We had 8 players again and the vending company and the bar added $35 plus the $40 entry fees and 1st place was $40 2nd place was $20 and 3rd place was $10, 4th place was a bud light; A 2nd bud light since everyone got a drink. Brent won the tourney, Rob came in 2nd and I came in 3rd place meanwhile Jack came in 3rd place.

NEXT WEEK IT IS BACK TO NORMAL. UP TO 8 PLAYERS WINNER TAKES ALL, OVER 8 THEN THAT GOES TO 2ND PLACE. NO ,MONEY ADDED.

Please enjoy the tournaments and remember it is NOT all about WINNING the event but coming out to play. If you think you will make a living playing in $5 entry fee tournaments? I can introduce you to a couple guys who will review that PHILOSOPHY with U,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Mark. Is this going to be a weekly event for a while? If so, I'll try to make it out for the next week or two at least. Valley Park is pretty close to where I live, so it should be an easy trip.

The tournament is usually a race to 1 double elimination.
$5 entry fee, split quarters
you get a beverage from the bar for playing.
Payout is usually with 8 players or less winner take all
more than 8 players 2nd place gets a biscuit,5 10, 15 ?

Straight 8 ball rules, I work evenings so it will be a while until I can play again.

Small bar, 2 table. Valley cougars 1.00 a game.
