Chem-pak ball cleaner?

Does anyone know if this has silicone in it? Tried to find MSDS sheet. I cleaned my diamond polisher out and based on feedback from a few on the forum I will now try a dedicated ball cleaner vs megs cleaner wax I have been using to see what the ball behavior difference is (if any). I am torn between this stuff or the Tiger product. From the reviews it appears the chem-pak is better at cleaning and providing good shine. Anyway any feedback would be appreciated. I am down to try to any dedicated product other than aramith cleaner/polish based on Glen stating issues with it sticking in the carpet.

Cheers
Brent

why not just use aramith? my buddy uses Brillianize which has a tiny amount in it and works fine. Seems like A'mith is the stuff based on all the reviews here.

Thanks for the link garczar. I tried looking them up and couldn't find the link to the company site. In regards to your question above about the aramith stuff Glen said it sticks to the carpet, is difficult to clean out residual product and so it can gum the carpet lining up in short order.

I mix Chem-Pak 50-50 with Isopropyl alcohol and give each ball a light squirt once they start rolling. The results are clean, shiny, and there's no noticeable effect on ball contact or throw.

you only need a TINY bit. most people use waaaaaaaaaay too much hence the issues. try the brillianize. good stuff. also great on tvs, phones, monitors. its 99% water. has silicone but a tiny amount. a friend has used it since he made his bucket polisher. balls play fine.

I believe Chem-Pak has the same consistency as the Meguiar's Cleaner Wax and the Aramith Ball Cleaner. As mentioned above, you'll have to thin it out to spray it. The Tiger Products cleaning solution can be sprayed right out of the bottle; no mixing necessary.

One thing to note: I had to re-engineer the cleaning surfaces of my unit (custom build Gold Crown Ball Polisher using the same engineering and specs as a Diamond Single Platter). I bought the Diamond Sprocket and carpet set for my unit but was very disappointed in the performance with that setup using the Tiger Products cleaning solution. The carpet Diamond sells is not absorbent at all and therefore it just smeared the Tiger Products solution on the balls leaving them hazy even after a 5+ minute run in the machine. Diamond's carpet works with the car wax because car wax has drying properties so the product doesn't need to be absorbed into the cleaning surface. You may or may not run into this issue with any diluted solution. My fix was to use standard pile carpet that I had been successfully using in my bucket polisher for years and a 1/4" peel and stick foam rubber pad on the platter covered by an 11" microfiber orbital buffer bonnet. I kept the same carpet on the sprocket it came with. Here's an 8B after a couple minute run in my polisher using the Tiger Products solution and the carpet/microfiber combo.

Nice set up. I saw your post you made on this. It turned out decent. I think we have the exact same carpet in our homes lol. Anyway good to know on the Tiger. It sounds like these compounds are not formulated for machines like they say on the bottle......

Thanks! It's not quite done yet. I'm prepping the cabinet for paint as we speak and I'm still on the hunt for a piece of Rosewood Formica for the top of the lid.

I think they are formulated to be used in machines but it depends on what the cleaning surface is on the machine. IMO, the best combo for cleaning is pile carpet and microfiber. Diamond specifies Meguiar's because that is what their cleaning surface is setup for.

Just curious how much did it cost you to build your polisher?

Off subject slightly but ....
Has anyone used Porper Ball Cleaning liquid?
Any comments about BallStar liquid... that seems to work well.
Tiger Crystal......is paste or liquid?
