Handcrafted quality!

Here is forum member Chenz new Varney j/b cue. I promised him some pics posted here to hold him over waiting on the mail man. Its a little different...I call it naked rings. Most of the time I put phenolic on both sides of the dashed Micarta ringwork...on this cue I left one side open to the wood...just a little different. It also has a nice SW style band of BEM above the buttcap. Well sir, here it is...hope its as you wished. Enjoy!!!:D

very clean

I like how you don't have any crap left in the joint pin, that is one my biggest pet peeves when it comes to cues. Why go through the hassle of making the cue if you are gonna leave all that gunk there?

Good work, very clean, and those naked rings are SEXY!

Cue looks good. Looks like the jump section is kind of long, do all your j/b's have the jump joint in the same spot? If so what's the length of the jump portion?

Great j/b cue from a EXCELLENT Cuemaker!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes my jump section is long indeed, very long. Thats one of my secrets as to why my cues jump so well. Most makers have their handles at around 12"...mine is closer to 18". Once you try the long handle, you'll wonder how you could even jump before...its that good.;)
Thank you everyone for the kind words.:)

Kevin:

I am sure you have been asked before, but I have not read the answer....

Are you using the same screw at the secondary joint?

and: what kind of tip are you using?

Nice looking cue. You have gotten my attention....

Thank you sir. Yes both joint screws are indeed 3/8-10. The tip is a canvas-resin that comes with a lifetime warranty.
