I will be in Chicago all next week, and will be looking to get out and hit some balls each night from Sunday to Wednesday. I will be staying in Westchester, so if anyone has any room recommendations, that would be much appreciated. I'm sure that I will want to get to Chris's at least once, since I really like that place. Also, if any AZ'ers would like to meet up and hit some balls, just let me know where and what night; I'd love the opportunity to have some company and meet some people. Thanks!

Not sure if the Green Room in Brookfield is still around but if it is, then its pretty close to Westchester.
 
I'll be in Chicago Monday through Wednesday. If you want play some, I'd meet you at Chris's on Milwaukee, or Pressure Billiards, on N. Clark. PM me, and I'll give you my cell #.

They're still there, and I think that there's one a little more east from there on Ogden; Chris's Green Pocket.
 
Thanks for the replies. Google maps shows a place called Palace Sports Bar & Billiards in Villa Park, and the photos make it look ok. Is anyone familiar with that place? Thanks again.

Far as I know, they closed some time ago.

Palace? Closed? I was out there maybe 5-6 months ago. It was pretty decent and didn't look like it was about to close. I'd give the number a call to make sure.

Next week Wed, I'll probably be at the weekly 8 ball tourney at Chris's. Good time to go and see the animals. :D

Palace Billiards is alive and well. I was just ther last night. Good people, nice equiptment and cold beer. What else do you need?

It's recently undergone a management change and renovation. I'd recommend it for hittin 'em around. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of action to sweat. Seems to be pretty average players, but definately a good place to play.

By the way, im living in westchester. PM me if u get a chance.
 
I'll be keeping my eye on this thread... I work at ProTyme in Alsip, but I won't be working during that time period... If enough people come to one place, I'd like to come along and meet everyone!

I am hoping to stop in also. It will be nice to get out of the house! I have been struggling with knee problems and am preparing to have my left knee replaced!!!

What else indeed. ;) I tell you, with all of the "pool room closing" stories I've heard lately, it's a relief to hear that this one is still going.

If things go as planned, I'll be able to stop by Palace Billiards on Sunday night for a while. I will probably be there (or somewhere else near Westchester) on either Tuesday or Wednesday night as well. I will send you a PM, Mike.

BWTadpole, quedup, and flex, feel free to pm me if you want, and I can give you my cell #. I'd like to meet as many people as possible also, so the more the merrier as far as that goes. The needle on my "ring-game-ometer" is starting to jump around a bit. :D

You know, I actually misread your post. I will be working at ProTyme on Monday and Tuesday night while you're here.

Anyone else would be down for coming my way to Alsip on Monday or Tuesday?
 
You might also want to try Tom Karabatsos's place up in Elgin called On-Q. It has a nice fancy restaurant downstairs and a dozen 9ft diamonds upstairs. Last time I was there, the waitresses were sooo hot, it was distracting!!!!
 
Aren't all the tables at On Q now coin op's. They converted them a while ago. It's a rather pricy place also I got charged $5.00 for a bottle of water!!

I looked up Palace, it's only a half hour drive up 294 for me. What time are people going to be up there?
