Aren't all the tables at On Q now coin op's. They converted them a while ago. It's a rather pricy place also I got charged $5.00 for a bottle of water!!
I like Tom but....
Dan

I didnt know that. I was there a while back, right before they officially opened. They held a straight pool qualifier.....

I looked up Palace, it's only a half hour drive up 294 for me. What time are people going to be up there?

I'm hoping to get there between six and seven. Flight gets in around 4, pick up car at airport, drive to hotel, check in, head to Palace... Should be doable, I think.

Good rolls,

Aaron

I know this is a little off topic but does anyone know if Nick Lullo still plays pool? When I was up there working me and him hung out a little while and lost contact with him. Please pm me if anyone knows how to get a hold of him just would like to talk to him to see whats been going on. Thanks!

It happened approx six months or so after they opened I think. I played Tom on a couple of occasions and then went in and all the tables 9 ft diamonds shimmed, BEAUTIFUL to play on, were all converted to coin ops. I left and never returned. The tables played just fantastic I was real sorry to see what they had to do there. Tom is a great guy and I cannot say much more.

Well, I met up with Aaron last night. I went to Palace Billiards, but after finding out that they're 21+ (I'm still 20), we relocated to 63rd St Billiards. Shot a lot of 9-ball with a little one-pocket after. Aaron really put the fear of God in me after running out a few of the first racks handily, haha.

It was great to meet someone from the forum, and I'm looking forward to playing again before he leaves town.

I might go out Wednesday night to meet up with people. For Tuesday, I'd like to see if we could meet up while I'm working in Alsip. One more time, a call to arms for the Chicago players to meet up on Tuesday!
