I have been told by a very respectable source that very soon you are going to see a major shift in quality from China on the cue front.
As you know I am not a fan but US makers better get a handle on it now.
I see the buy American flag going up very fast.

My Chinese made Lucasi is 6 years old and the finish still looks good and it is as straight as a pool cue can be.
And I only paid $250 for it.

What is the top Chinese made production cue? Are there lots of cue makers in China or a few big factories that will make anything to spec? How do they compare for price and quality against other manufacturers?
The Chinese are capable of build quality, and Apple Computer is an example of an American Company that use China as it major supplier.
Problem with Cues made in WET PLACES like China, Philippines, if they are not built in climate controlled shops, they come to places like Arizona and WARP faster than dog doo dries out on a hot day.
Heard a rumor that a very well know US Cue maker who was at one time was an ACA Member when over to China for a while for BIG BUCKS to teach a certain Chinese factor his secrets of Cuemaking.
China is where Japan was maybe 15 years ago with product quality, and is catching up fast now.
I liken the Chinese to Japan after WWII. Yeah, I know many are much younger than myself, but after the war Japanese quality was absolutely horrible. If you bought something from Japan you would be lucky if it lasted a week. Now all you have to do is look at the auto industry to see their quality is vastly improved. I would bet the Chinese are now on the same track. They will focus on quality to try and get more market share.
As far as cues, I don't know about them as I've only purchased them locally here in Pearland, Texas made by an individual.
