(Shanghai, China)-- After two days of non-stop, high quality 9-ball action, the China Open has moved into the business end of things as the single elimination knockout stages have begun inside Shanghai Pudong Yuanshen Stadium in suburban Shanghai.

16 women and 32 men are left in their respective competitions. The women's matches are race to 9, alternate break. The men's matches are race to 11, alternate break.

The first session began at 1pm this afternoon(GMT +8). All the women are playing while half of the men's field is seeing action in the first session.

The third annual China Open 9-ball tournament is offering a total prize fund of $275,000 with $162,800 for the men, and $112,800 for the women.

Because he had to go through the qualifiers and failed to win. So he wasn't in the main draw
 
Shane taken out by Ralf in a hill/hill match and Corey lost to Fu Jian Bo 11-6, so no Americans left.
