Chinese knock off Predator P3 and SP2

According to PoolDawg, it sells only one Pure X model made in the U.S. and two Spartan models made in the U.S. PoolDawg sells a lot more models from those two manufacturers and that are not listed in its "Made in U.S.A." web link: 20 models from Pure X and 16 from Spartan.

PoolDawg claims these Pure X and Spartan cues it sells are made in the U.S.:
The Pure X HXTCF2 Carbon Fiber Shaft - 12.5mm.
The Spartan Victory Carbon Fiber Pool Cue Shaft - 12.25mm and 12.75mm

In other words, Pure X, Spartan and PoolDawg appear similar to Viking, McDermott, Predator (and who else?) who farm out some or most of their production to a foreign country. Still, those companies make or farm out some of their production to be made here . The models are likely those listed in the PoolDawg link above.

Spartan butts are Chinese. Its a brand owned by Cuestix. Looks like they use WhyteCarbon shafts. PureX is a totally Chinese made cue brand owned by Cue and Case. Last time: Pooldawg doesn't make a thing. They sell/dist. various brands but don't make a thing. If they list a cue as being made by McD or Viking then i'm sure it is. BTW, i did some more digging and found that YES, Pooldawg/Cuestix are owned by same corp., BilliardExchange. They use different Chinese/Taiwanese shops to make their 'house brand' cues like Spartan/Scorpion/Action etc. Cuestix works mostly with retailers/stores where PD is all on-line sales.

CueStix/P'Dawg use Hamson/Universal for a lot of their house brand cues/shafts. I found a yearly report of Hamson and it showed a lot of biz being done with Cue-n-Case, CueStix and OmegaBilliards. ADAM uses the same shop to make most of their stuff too.

I searched on this forum that a lot of other brands are made by a couple oversea manufactures and one of those are Taycan which also makes lucasi/predator/joss for example ? I could be wrong. But it's not easy to find a cue brand that is made in USA without being custom made
 
Viking still makes cues in the US , I believe McDermott still makes some models in the US , Jacoby are made in the US as well. Their are probably others I not thinking of.

There are many cues made in the USA that are not custom made. PoolDawg lists those it sells made in USA. See companies and link below. It isn't just a list of manufacturers. It describes those those cues those companies make that are made in USA and that PoolDawg sells. Garczar takes issue with PoolDawg's list as to whether any cues are made in USA by Spartan and Pure X, but, even so, PoolDawg still lists 200 other cues and thirteen other companies that make cues made in USA. The list appears to only include those cues the manufacturer made here and not farmed out to foreign makers. For example, Viking cues do not include the Valhalla line. McDermott cues do not include its' Lucky or Star Cues. Predator cues only have Revo.

WTF????????? AGAIN????? PureX is made in China. Spartan cues are also Chinese. The ones with cf apparently use us made Whyte cf shafts. I know where cues are made pal. Know way more than you'll ever have a clue about. Except for well known stuff like JOSS/McD/Meucci etc everything P'dawg/c'stix sells is Chinese.

I don't think you should look at Pooldawg as the ultimate source, there's a lot of factual errors in that list.
As for Tiger cues they are all made by a small team in Burbank CA.

Exactly. This guy keeps quoting P-Dawg like its the pool bible. ALL JOSS cues are made in the US btw.

Tell me a lot of the errors in PoolDawg’s list of cues made in the U.S. I am not an expert and would like to know.

Garczar and PoolDawg agree that Pure X and Spartan sell a carbon-fiber shaft made in USA that PoolDawg sells. Pure X and Spartan are Chinese companies. PoolDawg only lists whether the cue is made in USA and not the company's country that farmed the work out.

Garczar and PoolDawg agree that “JOSS/McD/Meucci etc” have cues that are made in USA. The etcetera may include companies that PoolDawg lists besides Joss, McD/Meucci.

Kim Bye and PoolDawg agree that Tiger's Tiger Fortis LD carbon-fiber shaft is made in the USA.

Garczar and PoolDawg agree that Predator's Revo is made in USA.

PoolDawg lists McDermott’s cues made in USA and does not list its Star or Lucky cues that, Garczar likely agrees, are not made in USA.

PoolDawg lists Viking’s cues made in USA and does not list its Valhalla line that, Garczar likely agrees, is not made in USA.

ALL Tiger products are made in USA. Go to their website and it's very clear where they make their cues, he'll, you can even go visit them if you like. Tony is very knowledgeable and a nice guy.
