I have noticed that they hit the cue ball harder.
Wu Jia Qing pounds the cue ball.
Ko Pin Yi hits them softer, he occasionally will slow roll a ball.
It was a great match, Hill Hill between them......Ko won.

Prett much all pros hit the balls harder than most amateurs... it's the quickest fix for having to worry about allowing for swerve and throw. Reduces the variability heaps. Yet go to your average pool hall and everyone tells you off for bashing too much. LOL

Colin <- Basher of Balls!

Overall I think most everyone moves the cue ball less than Americans and Pinoys for shape. We tend to play looser and most of the world plays more analytical. I think it's because our developmental program (or the closest thing to) still relies on gambling and long sessions. Analytical is better suited for tourneys.

I also think Darren and Mika now play much different than when they were in Europe.

I also think the finals winner will depend on the pace of play. If faster & looser play, SVB should win. If slower and methodical, Big Ko should prevail. It should be apparent early.
