Nice piece.
However, this article is so contextual.
Calmness in and of itself does not a good cueist make.

Let's put it this way; when you have a very large populace that is playing
pool there are bound to be a good crop of good players as a result.

Asians, nor any other group, are in no way superior nor have any more proclivity
to playing pool well.

As I say, good find, however this is one man's fleeting observation.
Nothing more.

Don't fret mind. we invented most other sports and are crap at pretty much all of them.

The Inscrutable Oriental....a myth from my grandfather's generation.

The Chinese from that era didn't feel particularly welcome in North America...
...and many were not comfortable with the language.
Put any of us in the same situation and we won't have much to say either.

I know many Chinese....and they have the same percentage of motor mouths as any culture.
