Chinese Women's Tour?

I notice all the top women players in China only play in very few tournaments a year...but big purse ones. I can't see how 95% or more of them can make a living unless they have a tour and it's not reported to AZ. Or maybe they play each other for money like they do in the PI. Johnnyt

I see a lot of them on the Star Billiards streams in Philipines, don't know if that is in tournaments or money matches or just practice. From what the commentators have been saying in the videos, there is not much gambling in the China/Japan areas. I although thought that the players were supported by whatever sporting structure they have, basically they take them out of the general population to train for the sport and feed/house them.

I remember a Japanese player that was not playing safeties much and Buddy Hall asked Grady (I am pretty sure it was those two commentaing, but not 100%) if they played for money over there. Grady said No, Buddy replied: well, when they start playing for money, they will play more safeties.

Liu Sha Sha and Fu Xiao Fang and a few more go to Star Billiard Center in Manila to train/learn safeties, kicking, and breaking. They do gamble there. There are a few from Japanese and Korean players that go there for that too. Johnnyt
