Hello all,

I have a cue that has a chip in the finish. It looks like the chip goes to the wood but not sure. A good friend of mine said he could fix it with super glue and buffer it out. I trust his judgement completely but he just does not have the time to do it.

Is there any here that can do it relatively quickly? If so, what would it cost? Also is there anyone near the Dallas area I can take it to to save shipping headaches?

Hi,

Although you can fix a chip with superglue you still have to sand down the high spot and that may cause the repair guy to burn through the finish because the super glue will be harder than the finish.

I have two suggestions:

1). Live with the chip until you have enough flaws in the cue to get the cue refinsihed.

2). Have the flaw filled, then have the cue repair guy refinish the cue, sand, wet sand and buff out your brand new looking cue.

If it is a cheap cue you are wasting your money and someone's time because if he tries to do the touch up he may have to hit you for a full refinish any way if he burns through.

If it is an expensive cue, pop for the refinish job by someone in your area that is good at refinishing. It is not that expensive to refinish a cue!
