Chohan's book.

Whoever invented one pocket—where did one pocket come from, its genesis?—must be happy to see all these great books come forth. Good luck to Tony Chohan on sales. Pool peeps are a tough crowd sometimes when it comes to spending.
well hayden lingo and a guy named hill along with big nose roberts and glen womack were the very early players. no one can be sure who was first but before ww11 it was played in the midwest on billiard table with 2 holes later on a bit.

fats was around then and thats how he got interested. fats was friends with lingo so i think thats the tie in to it.
but everyone is long gone and now its speculation and trying to decide who to believe.
all i remember is cokes saying hill and or lingo as being the two best players in one pocket was it the 20 or 30's.
fats was around then and all the players were just gamblers.
lingo died just after i went out west so he was and old man then but i think he went to a couple johntson city events just before he died in the early 70's.
roberts was at an early stardust tounament or two that i know of but he killed himself around then,
anyway they were the early famous ones.

Hell, I just paid $90 to have 2 new tips put on a couple of shafts. $85 with videos, seems a bargain for some T-rex thinking so inbound it is. Will make a nice addition to my Robbin’s books.
