This is a recent post on CCB written by Heide Aiardo aka Karatemom. Most of you know Chris Cass (Aiardo, her husband). Chris went through a horrible bout with Cancer a while back and it now looks like it has come back. It does not state in what degree or type. For all of those of you that know Chris, please say a prayer for him. He's a great guy and has a wonderful family that need your support right now.

Here is the quote:

"A few people have asked about this already and I figured I'd let it out of the bag now. Chris has not been posting much, at all, lately because the big C has made it's way back into our lives again!

I'm not one for long stories, so in short, we see the dr tomorrow for some direction where this is going to take us and how long.

I appreciate all the support we have had in the past and lately, we need all we can get these days."

Bob,

This is really sad news. We all hoped and prayed he had it licked. He played the US Open with his illness, not once but twice, and kept his chin up the whole time and just kept on writing on his computer, making us laugh and giving us a dose of humility that was....well, humbling.

Chris has inspired me with his courage. The last person to feel sorry for Chris Cass is Chris Cass. His personality just keeps bouncing back.

He may be down, but is not out. My gut is that he will come out of his seat again and again, for as long as it takes until he beats it.

Yes, dam it, I was really sad to read that on CCB earlier. Chris fought through the last one and I believe it will happen again.

Update

On CCB From Heide:

"A short update:

Dr's today say things look good. It will not be cured, but it can be stopped and shrunk. He starts radiation therapy Monday and began a once a month IV treatment today which will hopefully prevent the cancer from spreading any further. He goes for a PET scan next week for more detailed stats. Spirits are a little higher today than yesterday, trying to keep things in perspective.

Everyone's wishes and prayers are so appreciated, you guys have no idea. I will never be able to thank you all enough.

Love,

Heide "
