Chronicles of a C Player

I'm not a great player, but most people would recommend finding your problem balls and taking care of your problems as soon as you can whether it's 8 ball, 9 ball or straight pool. When your plan goes wrong, which happens to everybody, develop a new plan. In the game of 8 ball, which I think is what you're talking about, it isn't always best to go for the runout. Sometimes it is better to let the opponent open up the table.

As far as drills, if you are having problems running balls equal offense should help.

If I could do it all over again I wish to heck I wnt to pool school and started out on the right track, I read the first post here and had flash backs. I would a much better player than I am now. I'm in the triple strong B/Weak A player no mans land zone-i been here along time. I know for a fact I would be a A player if I started out on the right track. But instead I'm struggling to get better.

You have to work on fundmentals-stroke, stance, eye patterns etc etc & etc and have them down solid before the balls become important, it is possible to study both when comming up but the fundmentals are key and MUST be mastered first-I still work on mine and struugle with bad habits years later because of a bad start in pool. I know more about the balls that I can exeucute sometimes-the exception is one pocket I'm learning that game now.
