Thank you Oscar for remembering a pool icon on the West Coast, Chuck Markulis! What a gift he was for all of us. He loved our sport and all the players, good and bad. Better yet he put his money where his mouth was and supported some of the all time best poolroom tournaments ever held anywhere! His tourneys attracted a who's who of the top players in the game. We handed envelopes stuffed with Benjamins to players like Buddy Hall, Nick Varner, Jay Swanson, David Howard, Kim Davenport and Roger Griffis.
