i have another fullsplice jig that will be ready to ship in 2 weeks. [ waiting delivery of liner rails ] these jigs are all aluminium accept for the hardened steel in the liner rails and the ball bearings. With the design we use, the bottom of the jig never touches the top of your bandsaw table causing drag. it makes for a VERY smooth cut.
the forearm piece is normally cut using a offset tailstock on your lathe. i bought a inexpensive router table and have made a aluminum jig and set this table up as a dedicated piece just for cutting the forearm to fit the piece i cut on my bandsaw.
all in all i think the table and router bit cost me just under $400.00, i like doing this as once its tuned in you will never have to make adjustments, each piece will be the same.
anyone want the next one, just pm me or call 660 723 1346
thanks chuck starkey
