the first ftb cue i made i cored with a .62 laminated dowel and was not so happy with the stiffness. seemed too whippy to me, i took the cue apart salvaged what i could, added a few pieces and came up with the ftb #2. it is doweled with a .75 laminated maple dowel and is much stiffer. if you missed the first, the forearm is 2 different pieces of buckeye burl that almost fade to black, i used a piece of water buffalo horn in between them, so the forearm goes from buckeye to jet black to buckeye, segmented curly maple handle with buckeye rings and a buckeye butt. i love the grain in buckeye.
