19 oz cue made amazon rosewood and curly maple. the 4 veneer splices are made using 1 mm brazilian rosewood. cue is a bit thinner at the butt and made using a more parallel taper. it is .86 at the joint and 1.22 at the butt. the tip is 13.3 as the entire cue is a bit straighter without so much taper from tip to butt. no ferrule and a bornwinner tip.
my standard 1/2 by 8 wood pin treated to last a lifetime, and guaranteed.
the cue is bumperless, around the turn of the century, brunswick advertised rubber vibration dampeners for a small extra charge. the bumpers were to make the cue hit more ' dead ' so you would not feel the vibrations when you hit the ball. now everyone is talking about, ' feel ' or ' hit ' of a cue.
imo you don't need a bumper, or ferrule. buy this cue and after a FEW racks if you are unhappy for any reason, just return for a full and prompt refund. i can say this because after 438 pool cues i have had less than 1 percent returned.
thanks for reading my ramblings, and thanks for the interest in my cues.
