I wanted to give a review of a great players cue. I have had this cue for a few weeks, and the more I play with it the more I love it. The amount of feedback this cue produces is wonderfully amazing. Very low deflection, being I have never used a LD shaft it is taking a little time to adjust. I could not be more pleased. The shaft has a very nice taper, fit and finish is also very good. THE best part of all is Chuck Starkey. He is so very easy to deal with, and made the cue just as I wanted in just a few weeks. He said here it is, play with it a few racks, and if you want to keep it send me a check, or just return it in the same condition for a full refund. I have been wanting a wood pin cue for sometime, and I could not be more happy with chucks creation. I would say to anyone wanting to try a pure hitting cue, with amazing feed back, and a BIG wood pin to give Mr Starkey a call. Thank You Chuck! -Bryan

thank you

for the kind words about me and my cues. if all my customers were as knowledgable about cues and understood their construction as did you. my job would be a lot easier.
it is much easier to work with a person if they know a bit about cues, but understand that cue builders are just that, builders, not magicians.
i believe communication between builder and customer is the most important part of their relationship.
it ain't rocket science

thx

Thanks icem3n, I have not learned to take very good pics of cues yet. The cue was made from a old Brunswick house cue. I believe chuck said the butt was palm wood, and the maple has a very nice old patina. Elk joint and hoppe ring. I do not know what type of finish chuck uses, but it feels very nice in your hand. -Thanks Bp

One amazing cue!

This cue plays just too good!!! I had a chance to hit with one of the new fullsplice predator cues the other night. The predator had a uniloc joint, with a 12.75 tip. My starkey hits so much better, and deflects less.. The predator felt dead to me. I know to each his own! Well thanks again Chuck for your creation. I love it! Anyone who has not yet hit with a starkey you might need to try one for yourself..
