There's no player alive that will see a match from their perspective like Railbirds
What you think is important is your business, let's see you tell a story off the top of your head (while driving) that happened 29 years ago and see how you do. I'd guess you'd need a lot more than the "8" to do that wouldn't you? :groucho:
There were people that watched the match and had a different perspective than you do, and that's fine. If you go back and listen to the video I'm pretty sure I said Bustemante gave me the 8 the next 2 times we played and we broke even.
I told the story while I was driving and was in a Zone at the time so I remember different parts of the match than the railbirds. When you play at the level we do getting weight can sometimes be a disadvantage mentally, I certainly wasn't used to people spotting me and I seriously doubt if I played because I though a spot was a winning advantage.
There was a man named Eric Nelson that wrote a story about his perception of the match which was different than what you are saying. Are you wrong, is he wrong, am I wrong?
Like people say, there's 3 sides to every story, my perception, your perception and the absolute truth......humans process everything through a limited experience of their modalities using sight, sound, feel, taste and smell.....these senses vary from person to person so rarely is there an absolute truth.
I hope someone else will tell the story of the Bustemante match, it's entertaining to see what other people saw. There's no player alive that will see a match the same from their perspective as the ones watching......this isn't possible!
The Game is the Teacher
We can go back and forth for the next 100 years and not agree...
I am trying to be diplomatic but, in addition to how things went back then, you appear to be confused about who said what in this thread.
Here is my post from earliererhaps you don't remember the gentleman who staked Bustamante against you at Pheasant Run where they won 10k in the middle.
(he also staked Bustamante against Johnny Archer in the session where Johnny ran out the entire 1st set)
He doesn't post on this forum or use the internet much, but he might be convinced to join if you really need to hear the same details directly from him.
My guess is he would be far less diplomatic than I am being here.
That being said, leaving out important details in your YouTube videos (like you getting spotted the 8) is not being fair to Francisco Bustamante and is not giving him the proper credit that he is due.
If you want to promote your web site and pool lessons, that is one thing.
But tell it correctly.
