I have a recently installed GC3 with Simonis 860HR cloth. After two hours of play my hands looks as if they were for popa smurf....

what is the safest way to cleaning the cloth of this chalk residue?

thanks for your help fellow AZers.

Depending on your budget, you can try horsehair brush, handheld vacuum cleaner, and Simonis X-1.

I vacuum mine once a week. Just make sure you don't use an attachment with a beater bar. Every day before I practice I get a microfiber cloth BARELY damp (ring it out really good) and wipe down the table. I did this on my last table and when we pulled the old cloth off there was virtually nothing on the slate. Good luck to you.

I like the microfiber cloth dampened also. All of what he said. :)

expense really isn't a cost especially considering what it costs to replace the cloth compared to cost of cleaning. are we in a consensus is the simonis-x1 cleaner? or microfiber? or even both.

Damion,
I would recommend the x-1 and masters blue chalk. The masters blue seams to be finer and the x-1 sucks it right up.

perfect i already use the masters blue chalk as its what i grew up with. and i ordered the x-1 ! thanks for your help all! now im just waiting on my lee peppers custom cue to come in within the next few months and im set! kudos 2 u all for the help!
