Cleaning my pool table felt?

Get a vac cleaner. It works great for getting the nap and the chalk under the felt

Don't put the hose end directly on the cloth or it might get pulled up off of the slate and leave a wrinkle. The bristle-brush attachment will prevent this and will also stir up the nap to be vacuumed. After the vacuum job, use a damp cloth to get the chalk marks up.

ive heard that cleaner that buddy hall use to advertise (i dont know if he still does) was good stuff but im not positive i use a vaccum cleaner and one of thoose brushes that pick up lint and hair then i use a LINT REMOVER...the tape on a stick lol
I have simonis 860 on my table.. I started using a 3HP shop vac (small guy) with the brush attachment, but it really wasn't getting the job done as well as I thought it should.
I actually use a "wide" attachment now with no brush and put it down on the felt so that it's almost "sealed" I'd guess you'd say.. (When the vacuum cleaner picks up RPM, and makes the "tone" higher) Gently sliding the attachment across the cloth back and forth up and down the table. By pressing the attachment to the cloth, and actually pushing it down onto the slate I'm wondering how it can pull up a wrinkle? Incidentally my cloth is on there really freakin tight, I can't imagine being able to get a wrinkle in it no matter what I do? I also use an aerosol felt cleaner made by imperial and a rag after I vacuum. It definatley brings the table back to life and makes it look new again.

I used to use a small Vacume untill I tried Quick-Clean. This stuff works great. It is pricy I bought two cans last year in a kit with micro fiber cloth and brush. I am getting low on one can now so I should be good for another year. It work Great on the spots where I practice the same shots over and over chalking every time making quite a mess.
I have nothing to do with the company or anyone who sells this. Its just a product I like.

Go to department store and pick up a micro fiber brush after you spray with the felt cleaner. If you didn't kniow, the microfiber cloth has a positive charge and dirt has a negative one, This makes picking up the chalk and other particle very easy.
