I have a little problem.

Because I have sweaty hands I use a glove. I have a blue glove but now my shaft is turning a bit blue. What is the best way to clean it and the best way to avoid this for happening again?

This has been covered a million times. For full details do a search.

Short answer: Magic Eraser, either with alcohol or even water.

Dry immedately.

Clean with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser dampened with alcohol or water.
Dry with a paper towel.
Very lightly sand with 1000 grit or finer.
Burnish with leather until it's unbelieveably shiney :D .

After this just clean with 90% alcohol and burnish with the leather after each use.

No need for any chemicals.

Thats exactly what I do and the results are truly outstanding! After I burnish I apply Slipstic, amazing product. My shaft is about 7 yrs old and people think I got it two weeks ago.

Hey Jim,

Have you ever had a problem with the 90% alcohol actually drying out the wood to the point it changes it's feel ????
