I just purchased a cue from Reeve's cues and I'm more then pleased with the cue.Its a sneak a pete cue so of course it has no rap.My problem is my hands sweat a little and the butt of the cue gets sticky.What do you use to clean the cue that want effect the finish.

Try a damp rag. Another option players use on sp butt's is to rub them lightly with 0000 steel wool. This will dull the finish slightly, leaves it more of a satin...but it also makes it NOT sticky. Of course if you do it often you'll eventually end up with no finish...but then a lot of players prefer that too on sp's...some like the old school wood feel.

Yes, I know some players prefer an oil finish on their sneaky pete. It is not really a durable or hard finish, but I know a lot of players prefer that.
You may send it back to Jimmy to get him to remove the finish for you, and treat it with an oil finish or something like that.
If you want, you can try to install a wrap. Leather seems to be better for those with a sweaty hand.
Please make sure you get the wrap done by someone with a lathe with a tapering bar so the taper of the butt will not be cut inproperly.
You can also buy a slip on rubber grip to slip on your handle, it is quite inexpensive. It will make the butt a bit thicker but not by a lot. That is the most inexpensive option I can think of.

If the butt of the cue is exceptionally dirty, a wad of wet paper towel with a drop or two of liquid soap will clean it. Make sure to wipe it down with another wad of wet paper towel (using no soap) to rinse off the finish, wipe dry and then proceed as above.
One caveat: using Pledge, or similar products will leave a slick finish, some may find that to their taste, others may think it's too slippery.
