Cliff and Billy matching up

Hey, I played a blonde headed kid from Morristown in Asheville, NC. Kid played good. I think we broke even. Short, kind of stocky? 1994? Any word?

Funny

but Shooters here in Wichita for 20 years, was the indoor Archery range before it was Shooters. My big bud was a Champion Archer, and I went with him there, for the first time, and watched him shoot a perfect 300. (60 arrows in the small bullseye).

Mark Owens? Did the kid have a real big stroke? If so, it was probably Mark.

That's it.

It was Mark Owens. Big stroke, cue ball flying. Runout machine. I was up 6-3 in a race to seven and we had a dispute over marking up a game, and we both got hot over it and just quit. Does he still play? Coltrain shot him full of holes about a year before that, in Morristown. Wasn't that place Wayne's dad's place at one time? I once played in a ring game with Wayne.

Mark still plays occasionally but he has run into some issues over the years that have taken precedent over pool. When Mark was playing I have seen him run all over champion players. He could plum' get out when he was right.

Wayne Seals (Frank's son) doesn't play anymore that I know of. The place you probably played was Hawk's, Earl Hawkins' place. It is a decent size place w/ Brunswicks up near the counter (or did the last time I was there about 12 years ago).

Frank Seals is the guy JAM was referring to. He liked the action and would drop a bundle occasionally.

Yep, Wayne Seals. When I first started playing, he was playing at the top of his game. Yeah, Mark can definitely knock'em in the holes. Later....
