SVB and Cliff have tied up twice now at the DCC once at 8 Ball and once at One Pocket with both losing the match that many thought they would win
Shane spotted Cliff 4 games on the wire playing 8 Ball in a race to 21 for $2500 a man.
Many people felt like Shane was the favorite playing this way before the match, after the way Shane has been playing lately who could blame them.
Cliff outplayed SVB from the beginning of the match and fought off Shane's attempt to make a comeback late in the match. I guess we found out that spotting Cliff Joyner at any game is tough action even for arguably the hottest player on the planet.
In 1 pocket Cliff spotted SVB 10-7, 9-7 on their respective breaks in a 5 ahead race for $2500 a man and most people seemed to believe that Cliff was a definite favorite in the game due to Shane's lack of 1 pocket experience and Cliff being one of the very best in the world...
Cliff looked good early on in the match and seemed to be in complete control.
Shane battled back and took the lead up 2 games and the players took a break for a few hours.
The race was changed to 6 ahead for some reason. After they resumed play Shane continued to play well and Cliff seemed to be out of stroke.
Cliff never got going, the last 3 hours of play was very sloppy. SVB finally won
