A buddy of mine wants to recover a billiard table, and is trying to find out the cost and what cloth to use..is it simonis 760 or championship granada(sp?)? or something else ? and where is the cheapest place to order it from? I checked ebay and everything already says its precut for rails.... the table is a olhauson and I think it is a 8 ft table..

Loontjens Biljarts only uses Simonis Rapide 300 Cloth for our Gabriels tables. Therefore I strongly recommend this Carom Cloth.

No idea regarding the availabilty and cost in the US

If it really is an 8-foot carom table some deciding may be necessary. The standards for tournament cloth in the US are Simonis 300 Rapide and Granito "M". I looked briefly at the on-line sources and you are looking at something like $200 for the cloth including the rail cloth.

One problem with fast carom cloth is that if the table is not both flat and level, roll-offs will be a lot more pronounced with fast cloth. Slower cloth will help mask the defects of the table or installation.

thanks, what were the sites that had good prices.....

I carry a cloth called Carombola. Its a 1-ply 20oz worsted fabric. I personally had this cloth in my pool room on a Gabriels. They came from far and long to play on it.
Our textiles are very durable and accurate. Cheers
