I have a freind that owns a local bar. One old dynamo table but see has always had 760. That is a little fast for this table just my opinion. So see asked me how I would have cover the table. I told her a very good installers name. He would like to put mercury ultra on the table good idea right or wrong. I was think 860 would be the best choice.

Simonis 860 HR (High Resistance) would actually probably be your best choice for a bar table. It will resist more ball burn marks than standard 860. It will play a bit slower than 760, but still play true and have Simonis quality. I would stick with Simonis, but try the 860 HR. Make sure that installer is comfortable working with Simonis.

Your mechanic doesnt want to use simonis because its difficult to cover the valley rails and mercury is the easiest.

To answer your question - Ultra does not play anywhere close to 860
