After being down 4-1 in the 5th/6th place match at the BCA Nationals Open Event I found myself tied 4-4. I had runout several solid balls and played a safe. He then left me here after tapping the 15 ball leaving me a thin cut on the 5.
I made the thin cut but hit is too softly and hooked myself on the 11 ball. All I could think of was "great, I fought back to here and now he's gonna runout"
I lined up the kick to cut it in the side and knew I had to power to cueball to get around all his other junk for sight on the 8. I drilled it.
Since the pocket was blocked for the 8 I had to cross bank it. With perfect speed and english I hit it just hard enough at pocket speed to nick the first point of the pocket, hit the other, and drop. Thrust my cue towards the pocket and yelled "AHHHHH." What a rush.
What tough outs have you finialized when the match or cash was on the line?
