Here's my new line of premium layered cue tip that I named “CM360: Fearless Tips” premium layered cue tips!!!

These are all hand made in Japan from well seasoned and tanned pig skin like the original Moori but compressed to thinner layer for more consistent play.
These tips are made to produce a hard hit but they will have the property of the soft in term of spin and its ability to hold chalk.
This is one the best tips yet...it's just produces a solid chalk sound when you hit the sweet spot that validate that you made a solid hit.

These are custom pressed to 20NM = Medium Soft, 25NM = Medium, 30NM = Medium hard and 35NM = Hard.

My initial impression of CM360 tip - 30NM MedHard

First, I want to thank Duc for sending me the tip for testing.
I think the tip is very good.
It installed without issue.
Burnished up real nice too.

The overall feel of the tip is fantastic. It holds chalk very well. I had to adjust my expectations of the tip once it was installed. It was WAY more grippy than I thought it would be. When I broke from the rail playing 8ball, the draw from the stack amazed me. It was effortless.

I haven't had a non soft tip be this grippy in a while. I like that because I don't have to get as far out on the edge as I have with other tips.

When I hit a shot, long or short, I have great confidence in this tip delivering exactly what I want. Nothing more or less.

I have shot over 30 games on this tip and it shows no signs of mushrooming or misshaping.

I will post a pic of the installed tip tonight or tomorrow.

Great tip Duc. I was looking for a tip to take the place of my old favorite, Moori M.

I will be ordering some of these tips for all of my cues.

Thanks for the feedback, looking forward to hear from other Participant.

Thanks for the Feed back Alan. Up to the top....I got my new stock but most of it are gone. So get them while you can...as my next batch is coming at end of February. Should have about 1000 tips available for the Upcoming SBE!!!

fearless tips

Hey Duc, do you have (3) mediums available? If so, I'm interested. I'm a house man here at Guys 'n Dolls Billiards Belleville, NJ. Also, a friend of mine Raphael DeBreo highly recommend them.

Just got my new Keith Kustom in with your tip. I had him take the tip down halfway where I have my Kamui tips around usually. Shaft is at 11.6mm

Will be posting playing review soon. I expect it to be a great review as before I took delivery of the cue Keith asked me about buying some of them as he enjoyed the way it played and wanted to try one after a few hundred balls to see how they hold up.

Thanks for the feed backs and reviews on the CM360 fearless premium layered tips. Been getting quite of bit of orders from all over the world so really happy that my CM360 tips are been used around the world.

Just a notice to international buyers...shipping via USPS international first class mail cost are now much higher than domestic so I will charge additional fee for international first class mail with no tracking per actual cost via www.usps.com. Eg. Shipping to Singapore is about 10.00+ first class international mail vs 2.07 domestic.

I will provide proof of shipping but will work with you if the package is lost. I already lost one package to Italy and have already sent replacement.

Thanks again for the business, looking forward to hearing more feedbacks on my tips.

Sincerely,
Duc.

yikes! I like my tips cut down too but not the "conical" way you have it shaped there.

That was right out of the box.

Keith did cut it a bit low for me but its been just fine. I re-shaped it a bit more to a dime shape now.

This has been the fifth week of play with Duc's tip and I have to say I've adjusted quite well to them and enjoy the play. They apply plenty of english and do not mushroom as advertised.

Initially when I received these tips I took a look under the microscope and was concerned that the tips were not as consistent as the ones I'm used to using (Ultraskins, Wizard, Kamui) but once they were trimmed and installed they looked fine.

I had one of these installed within twenty minutes on a Willard and it is very easy to trim and burnish.

If you are used to Moori's these would be a good tip to convert to, but if you are used to using ultraskins then there may be a slight adjustment needed as they don't "grip" as much as the treated tips do.

I would recommend these to anyone looking for a new tip as they have good elasticity and burnish beautifully for anyone looking for a natural tip.

Duc let me know whats up with the builder/repair batch. i do a fair share of work down here in Philly.... People usually go in the direction I point them in. I sold 20 plus hays tips down here. So let me know always lookin for something new

Thanks
Chris

Not sure this is the place to write a review but it's a good plug for Duc and his tips. First off I believe tips are just as subjective as everything else. The tip, the shaft and it's taper with the combination of the woods, balance and weight of the cue all comes together to create the "Hit". In the last two years I have tried several brands of tips and their hardness. I use to play with the old Moori hards and I have gradually gone down to a soft tips. My belief is that hard tips are too springy, bouncy. With a hard tip it feels like when the tip makes contact with the cue ball, the cue ball bounces away ahead of my stroke? I get this feeling wtih all Kamui tips, even the soft. I prefer a single layer tip like a Le pro? It seems like it grips the cue ball a fraction of a second more, having less of a springy feeling, giving me more control. With a Kamui tip, you can get a lot of action with the cue ball. It would move around the table effortlessly but I would have to adjust my hit. Certain shots I would have to aim with a slight difference in place and english.

With that being said, I find that the CM tips have a very crisp hard hit that does not lose the grip. It still moves the cue quite well without that springy feeling. There is no trade off for action at the expense of accuracy. I have played with the M25 and M30 on two different tapers for several days. The tips are holding up well without any mushrooming and the consistency is the same. Some tips you need to "wear in" before it has that consistant hit you desire. CM tips feel great from the start. It has a nice crisp sound when stroking and moves the cue just right. If there is any gripes to be made, I would say that the tips are hard and may need a little tip tapping to keep the chalk. I only needed to this once. I did mention that I used two different tapers (this is on my Ed Young cue) One shaft has a stiffer hit than the other. Again since the hit is subjective this is just my opinion. I would go with a softer CM tip (CM 20 or CM 25) for stiffer taper shafts. And the harder tips (CM 30) for shafts that has a softer hit. My main player is a South West and I have single layer tips on all of the shafts. (they are either Le Pro's or triangles not sure). But i am seriously considering changing it to a CM. This is the most I have posted in the 7 years i"ve been on AZ, I hope it makes a little sense to some of you. I highly recommend Duc's tips.
